I just finished The Old Man and the Sea and I didn't like it. I'm glad it only took me a day because I would have hated to waste more of my time on it.
Yesterday I finished The Memory of Running. That was a good book. Same sort of theme, better story. If you have to choose, go with Running. Take my word for it.
